I rarely have time to play along with the IC these days - but it's still holiday, and my interest was piqued when I spotted Lydia's sample hidden away in a secret hostess area a couple of days ago. I SHOULD be making a thank you card, a special birthday card for my sister and a get well card (which this could function as, but it's not what I want), but I sneaked this on. Not as quickly as it should have been, DH has my Scor-Pal and my best cutting mat downstairs.
Masked the sun off, spattered the blue using ink and a spray diffuser, then reverse-masked and sponged the sun. The word was die-cut from white card, misted, and sprinkled with Brushos. I used clear EP to add some shine. Edges distressed, panel layered up on foam tape.
Now back to the cards I need to be ready to send out on Monday...
I took overall inspiration from the Etsy site and Lydia's description, rather than any specific image.

Love that you make time for the "funnest" challenges - this would make a great get well, but sometimes we want something special so I understand!! Love the masked sun with the raised diecut lettering - such a cheerful card!!

I love the happy message bursting through the rain. Everything about this is terrific Sabrina. I love that your DH is still busy making gorgeous envelopes!

Well, I'm happy you got to play so you could share this happy card with everyone! I love all the Sunshine - and how you used the brushos here. What a fun card! Hugs
