I made this card for the Clean & Simple Challenge to make a holiday/winter card with a critter, CAS352 11/23/15. The "critter" I chose to use was a bird - hope birds are considered critters!
This card went to together quickly, with the exception of the stamped sentiment used on 2 sides. To get it to come out even I had to mask the edges. The upper corner where the sentiments would meet provided a design challenge. I opted to miter the corner by placing a post a note as a mask at a the corner at a 45% angle....sounds complicated, but I just followed the point off the corner of the square panel and placed the post a note in line with it. Amazingly enough, I got lucky with the stamping and did it without a stamp positioner. Whew!!!!
Tip for those of you who still have some of the SU wheel stamps and find them lingering in a drawer unused. Unmount them from the wheel and put them on cling mount to use on an acrylic block. I've done this with my favorite wheel stamps and they are so fun to use now.
Thanks for stopping by to look at my Cardinal critter card. Do you have a critter in your stamp stash? Please think of joining us in this challenge - it's fun!

Wow, this is beautiful. So glad that you commented on my card so I could discover your beautiful gallery! Love how you did the sentiment esp. the mitred corner with the post-it note - & a great tip about the wheel stamps - I hadn't thought of that. Popped your card into my Favourites Folder :-)
