hi there,
Here is my card for the CAS challenge today; Holiday/ Winter Critters.
I made the woodgrain background by applying Elmer's glue randomly to my paper then let it dry. After it was dry, I rubbed Distress inks over the top, scored the lines then rubbed some additional ink to make the scoring lines more pronounced.
The deer were die cut, sentiment stamped and scored on either side.

Hi, neighbor! Fabulous CAS rustic card. Your created wood bg is FANTASTIC...I would have thought it was DP had I not read your description, Karen. We were both thinking of antlered mammals today. ; ) Love the white sihouetted images against the bg.

Totally awesome CAS design, with a masculine feel. Love it! you created the background with distress ink, score lines and Elmer's glue? Boy howdy, is it cool looking! Must give this a try. Thanks for sharing this fun card and how you made it!
