Here is my card for the CAS challenge today; Holiday/ Winter Critters.
I made the woodgrain background by applying Elmer's glue randomly to my paper then let it dry. After it was dry, I rubbed Distress inks over the top, scored the lines then rubbed some additional ink to make the scoring lines more pronounced.
The deer were die cut, sentiment stamped and scored on either side.

Ha, well, Karen, you told me you were determined to make your own woodgrain look pp and you did it! Awesome look you created here and how resourceful!! Love it. Faved!

What a Spectacular job you did making your wood bg. It looks very real. Elmer's glue seems to be a runner up right near duct tape for Best Thing to Use for Almost Anything. Absolutely Beautiful!!! And thanks for the technique info.
