This is for Lydia’s and the final HYCCT challenge – Finish Line. Use a single, hand-drawn line across your card that goes behind an element on your card. When I got out this stamp set for something else and saw the ice-skating penguin, I thought he would be perfect for this challenge. A line separates the blue frozen pond from the white snow. To color the pond: using a water brush, I watercolored Tempting Turquoise all around allowing for white space around Mr. Penguin and the sentiment. Then I sponged on Marina Mist. Using the water brush again, I blended the sponged ink. The sentiment is from the same set and it’s a fun one. Thanks for the interesting challenge, Lydia.
This also works for CAS Challenge –time to hibernate. A hat & scarf helps one to stay warm and cozy; a day on the ice pond will inspire one to hibernate with a hot cup of cocoa. Here in Arizona, we don’t stay indoors this early; this time of year is our wonderful weather. All the snowbirds have returned by now. Thanks for looking.

He is so cute. He skates like it is easy. When I used to go to an ice skating rink and try that, it was next to impossible for me. I was down more than on my feet. Ha Darling card with a very "cool" sentiment.

Great idea to use your line to define the skating rink....I grew up in a town with 2 indoor rinks and 2 outdoor rinks so skating was a part of my childhood. Love the gem centered snowflakes too!

Adorable penguin and I love the effect a simple hand drawn line can have on a card...nicely done! Thanks for playing along with this week's CAS challenge!
