Mary is our hostess this week, and she has given us some lovely colors to work with: Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive and Soft Suede. The dessert option is to make a Thanksgiving or Thank You card.
I've had this Water Blooms stamp set (Mama Elephant) for weeks (months!) and had not used it, so this was the week. Thank goodness for my MISTI, or this card would never have been made! I cleaned the new photopolymer stamps before using, but still found that trying to make ink from the markers adhere was quite a challenge. I had to stamp the flowers three times, and the leaves twice. The Soft Suede dots--well, I cheated a bit, stamped them once, and then "touched up" with the marker onto the cardstock. Interestingly, the greeting, for which I used a stamp pad, needed to be inked and stamped only once!
I was happy to be able to drag out my old spool of old olive grosgrain ribbon for the finishing touch. Thanks for stopping by, and please play along with us this week.
