This week over at CCEE Stampers, Maryann has asked us to create a card with "something down under". I used one of my Stampavie stamps, as part of my personal commitment to use 4 of them this month, with an opossum hanging "down under".
I stamped it on watercolour paper and coloured with Inktense pencils.
Then I took another piece of watercolour paper, worked out where I would position the frame, and stamped the tree from Thoughts and Prayers several times in Versafine Olympia Green.
Then I cut the frame in two pieces, using Spellbinders rectangle dies.
Then I added a watercolour wash to the remainder of the base, and embossed it with TE Weathered ef. I inlaid the image into the recess I had cut the frame out of, and added the frame popped up on foam. To finish I added some twine and a sentiment tag from LOTV, and added the whole thing to a white card base.

I love this card for so many reasons. I am saving it.
The coloring came out well. But I esp like how you got the beautiful, delicate leaves (same shape as your image tree) overstamped on the frame. Your wash color choice is really good here. I like you edged the layer-good detail. It all comes together so well. Kudos.
I havent thought of building a double frame either. Cool idea. Looks great.

What a fabulous embossed and leafy frame for these cute guys! I love this delightful card but am happy to say I haven't seen a opossum run across my back fence in a few years now! Beautiful work, Sabrina!
