For Emily's challenge: Choose a painting and create a card. I chose Thomas Kinkade. I fell in love with his paintings from the first time I stepped into his gallery (Feb. '99 in Phoenix). Little did I know just how much of an impact he would have on my life. This is also for Lisa, our latest FS. It was so much fun scrolling your pretty gallery, Lisa, and here's the beauty I chose to case! I water colored my images with an aqua painter and blender pens, added some spritzing and sponged the edges. Added a frame and popped it up; used IBBG on the Vanilla cb because it was too plain. Thanks for stopping in and Have a Wonderful week in the spotlight, Lisa! ~Roberta

Such a pretty scene, Roberta. Thomas Kinkade was such a talented artist.
You really did a great case of Lisa's card.

I can understand where you were drawn to the warmth and nostalgia of Kincaid's work, Roberta. This card to honor Lisa shows those same attributes and is watercolored SO SO beautifully. I think watercolor is a hard medium and I admire anyone who attempts it.
Thank you for your most kind and morale-boosting thoughts. Hugs.

This is fabulous, Roberta! How funny, I was trying to work in the same challenge (but ran out of time) & my first thought was Kincade. Love his Christmas scenes, especially. You did a great job!

sorry I didn't get to leave a comment yesterday, but I ran out of steam and became very nauseated for most of the day... anyway, when I first saw your beautiful card, I thought of how you like Thomas Kinkade and this resembled his work so well... love how you watercoloured the images and also the sponging. also love the addition of the IBBG, that really adds to the overall picture... very well done my friend... great case. love it...

Roberta, I love Thomas Kinkade and this card is an incredible tribute to his stunning work. I love the great layout you used on this image and my need to do this layout when I use that HFC stamp again. Thank you so much for all your wonderfully sweet comments and kind words. Thank you for taking the time to do a card for the FS challenge and honoring me with this incredible card. Big hugs dear friend!!!!
