I really enjoyed Fionna's Challenge. We were asked to "renovate" a card, and the meaning of the challenge is the renovation people have to go through after cancer. I decided to pick a card I made a while ago featuring a Pure Innocence stamp from MFT to renovate, and made my card for this challenge using a different Pure Innocence stamp. The girl in the stamp is holding a teddy bear that is wearing bandages. It seemed appropriate, the bear is under reconstruction, and the girl in my card represents a person dealing with cancer. This stamps have a few strands of hair, and I colored it leaving noticeable spaces to signify the hair loss that patients undergoing cancer treatment usually go through. I altered the sentiment from another Pure Innocence stamp set to read "Just need a" and die cut alphabet letters to make the word "Hug". I just thought that a lot of times, people dealing with such a destructive illness don't even have energy to talk, or even listen to someone else. Sometimes they are so drained and hopeless, that don't want to talk or be talked to, they just need to be held. The power of a hug from a loved one is sometimes stronger than any word we can utter. I'm sending a hug to all of them.

Your little PI is colored so beautifully. Hugs are the best. A wordless way to give comfort and love to those who really need it. What a great way to meet this challenge. Thanks for joining us this month.

Oh, Carolina, what beautiful coloring, and you are so right that "just a hug" (which is so powerful and personal) is often all someone dealing with cancer needs. My mom battled breast cancer, and there were many days that's all she wanted/needed. How absolutely precious, and what a beautiful layout! You certainly have a heart for making these cards of encouragement! You are a blessing! Hugs!
