I used the same dies as Irene did, yet I used the champagne glass for embossing rather than to cut the paper. I really love the texture this provides. Unfortunately, the embossing looks less intense in the photo than in real life. Next I used my Stampin' Up! hearts border punch, and just a few sequins, for the double shaker effect (I figured using the silver sequins would honor the background of my inspiration glasses a bit more since I used gold ink for the sentiment). (FYI: in this case I thought it wise to 'glue' a few hearts down on the background behind the shaker too....that way you could always tell what was in there, even if the card was standing up being displayed.)
I definitely can't compete with the simple elegance of Irene's card, nor the lacy beauty of my inspiration glasses, but they both definitely helped me with my inspiration card design this week! I think it turned out perfectly and would love to give the card as a gift along with the glasses - wouldn't that be so cool!?
(After it was all over, I had this really nice feeling looking at all the sweet tiny red and gold hearts on my craft table too. LOL)
Won't you please join us in IC513 and be romantically inspired to create your own awesome design too!
Hugs,
Audrie

You never disappoint, Audrie. Your card is gorgeous. Your place or mine? I'd have to think I would prefer your home. I have an idea it's as lovely as you, inside and out.
I checked out your journals. Each is just lovely. I've been meaning to tell you that. You are such a talented woman. Thanks for continuing to find wonderful sites from which to draw inspiration.

I drew my breath in and held it as I drank in the beauty of this lovely creation. I always look forward to Saturdays, even if I don't get to create anything myself, because your wonderful choices of inspiration are so fun and thought provoking. Thank you!

Awesome creation! I love your shaker champagne glasses...and thanks for the tip on gluing down a few of the items inside the shaker so they are always visible....brilliant! TFS
