Maura's colors today are so pretty. She chose grey, limeade, bermuda bay. This summer I spent many hours waiting in a school parking lot for my granddaughter to finish her band lessons. In back of the lot, a lady had a beautiful flower garden. Taking watercolor paper, and pencil sketched some of them. She had a group of green zinnias. This is were my inspiration for this sketch originated. When seeing the colors today, the limeade was the color of those zinnias. Mixing gumball green and summer sun, its pretty close to limeade. Watercolored, and added the sentiment with my new love.... a fountain pen. Audrie has me hooked on them. TFL

You totally amaze me!! I can barely draw a stick figure!! Heehee, I used to draw when I was in school but I guess when you don't practice something it all goes away! This is lovely Linda! Beautiful flower (I love Zinnias) I used to photograph butterflies on zinnias in my front yard...they love them! must be because they are so colorful! This is a beautiful drawing and beautifully painted!

Oh, Linda, I can't believe you sketched this (well, actually I can - you are so talented!!), and your watercoloring is so beautiful! Yes, I'm so intrigued and am just waiting to get more inspired (and the courage up) to do more watercoloring myself. Thanks for inspiring us all, and I truly love your work, my friend! Hugs!

I really love how you left the space for the sentiment (in fountain pen, no less!) Glad to see you kept busy as you waited.......to our benefit!!
