This is for Lisa's fun Ways to Use it Challenge....Sequins!!
I have mentioned before that I when I get inky, painty or messy, I usually do an A4 sheet of cardstock, then cut it into 3 panels. This is one of the panels I had previously made. All the details can be found here , so I won't bore you again. I tend to ramble on a bit LOL.
There is a lot of free hand doodling here plus some weirdo stamping. The sticks and water drops are free hand. Lydia has a brillaint tutorial for doing water drops, you can find it here .
The little mermaid was coloured using distress inks - salty ocean, peacock feathers, tattered rose and black soot. Smack the ink onto foilf, squirt on tiny amount of water to get lots of shades of the one colour, apply with an aqua pen.
After fussy cutting the mermaid, I put a little bit of adhesive down the the centre of her body, so her hair, arms and flipper, look like they are floating, she has a 3D apperance without being bulky when posting. I tore the house apart looking for sequins and happily found a few and stuck them in her hair.
Thank you for looking.

Susie, this card is beautiful and makes me smile! I love the beautifully deep colours, the cool stamping and the sequin crown. As long as your mermaid stays under water, the sequins won't rust, it's when they are exposed to air that the corrosion starts.

Susie this is so beautifully done! Love the darling mermaid and the wonderful doodling and added bubbles. I am so glad you were able to find some sequins and sure hope you did not have a huge mess to clean up after you tore the house apart (that is usually what happens to me). So stunning! Thank you for playing along in my Sequins challenge!
