This, obviously, is a birthday card. I made it for a friend and former mentor whose 60th birthday is coming up soon.
This is one of my favorite birthday stamps - it's just so fun! Since my friend likes bright colors, I thought he might get a kick out of this.
After coloring everything and adding Stardust pen over all the words, plus glaze and metallic accents in strategic spots, I used alpha dies to cut the word "happy" from the image. I matted the focal with a yellow glitter paper and attached it to the card base.
Each of the letters were cut three more times from a scrap of white cs and layered using Multi Medium, with the letters cut from the image on top. The layered letters were adhered back into the negative spaces with Multi Medium. It's hard to see in the photo, but if you look closely towards the bottom of the card you'll spot it.
I think when my friend first sees this, he's going to think "What is wrong with this card?" Love it!
As always, thanks for looking!

Certainly is a very CELEBRATORY card - love all the bright colors you used, and with the extra-layered letters, made very special! He will know how much love was poured into the making of it, and appreciate all your hard work!!

Look at all those colors! Jody Lynn, I thought your image was paper. Wow, I can't imagine how long this must have taken you. Let me assure you it was well worth the effort. This is a show stopper for sure. Incredible everything. I'm confident your friend will love this card.

WOW, the coloring you had to do on this! This one definitely says party and who deserves it more than someone who turned 60! Love the technique with the die cuts, one I would love to try! This one is SO fun, Jody!
