After a long break, I am back to making cards. Life just stole me away for a bit with grandbabies on the way, a wedding, and a product reset at work. Things are almost settled back down so over the next few weeks I should be able to catch up on what has been going on in all the galleries.
I have joined the DRS Design Team and I have been having a fun time using their very versatile images and sentiments. If you are like me, you are always wishing for more great sentiments, and this company has them!
I was feeling a bit Springy with all the wonderful weather we have been having here. DH planted a garden and looks like Spring around here. I can not wait for a fresh tomato! I am going to pluck the first one and sit right down to a BLT!
I made my bg paper with the Lines O'Plenty bg stamp - I stamped it and then stamped again going in different directions. Then I stamped my main panel with the sentiment and images and colored in the bg using the pointillism method and a yellow SU! alcohol marker. I so love how this method adds so much to a bg - I love these markers.
I did the inside similar to this and used the Every Day is a Miracle sentiment along with a little bee, some left over bg, and a few little leaves from extra branches I stamped.
Hope you are all doing well! Many hugz!

WoooooooHooooooo you're back. Nancy, you could have scribbled on a brown paper bag and I would have been excited to see it. This card is terrific, I am off to check out who DRS is.....if they don't ship to Australia you are in big trouble!!!

Woo Hoo, boy oh boy, have YOU been missed here!! I am in love with your sweet welcome Spring card - the little bee is adorable and the way you did your branches, popping some of the leaves up, and the pointillism technique to make your background special! DRS has some great stamps for BGs - I have a favorite that makes a great plaid, using it in a similar way you used your lines a plenty! Great to see your name in the galleries again - BIG HUGS - and LOTS OF THEM!!

This is so adorable Nancy!! Love the background with the double stamping. And your yellow background - wow, that must have taken you a while, but it is beautiful! Adorable images, that bee just makes me smile.
