This is card #2 using the same elements as the first in a different layout. I had stamped this cupcake image first, but the part where I've stamped my sentiment wasn't fully inked. I backed the torn grid piece with a black square and added a cheater's bow with the Lagoon ribbon. I like these because I stink at tying bows and they lay flatter than most bows. I hate to waste paper, so when I have a layout where a large part of a layer is covered, I often cut out the center of it. This makes the first card lighter for mailing and also gives me a piece to use on another card.

That's a cool ef! I like tying knots like that rather than bows - I think they look great, especially with twill and grosgrain ribbons. Another great masculine card.

Goodness, that teal is so gorgeous with the black. Love those stenciled tiles and the ribbon adds extra pizazz. I've seen these blueprint images but couldn't see myself using them. With yours, I can see I need to revisit those images.
