This is for Angie's CAS challenge - Make it Masculine. I would like to say it was fun, but we all know CAS and I are not usually on speaking terms.
My desk looks like the wreck of the Hesperus, but I am happy how this turned out. The image is painted with just a few Distress Inks - smack the ink pad onto aluminium foil, squirt an itty bit of water in one corner and use an aqua pen to colour everything in.
Fussy cut the image, wrap twine around it, add 3D tape.
The water panel is an off cut of hammertone cardstock, I thumped my faded jeans distress ink pad on an acrylic block, squited on some water....way too much water, so I place the cardstock on top of the block instead of the other way around.
In the spirit of CAS, I tore the cardstock at the top and bottom. Once dry, adhered the blue panel to cardbase, then added the image uisng 3D tape.
Thank you for looking and thank you Miss Angie for challenging me.

This is a jaw dropper of a card - and I mean that in a good way! I find it hard to believe that CAS design is not your natural card style. This card is magical in its effortless simple complexity...that's an awkward way of saying this card is CAS done to perfection! Love everything about this artistically done nautical creation. TFS your talent!

Love that squirty background. The whole theme of the card is just so beachy. WOW - how CAS can you get. I have difficulty doing anything "masculine" and "CAS" as well - I put it down to someone who has a clean and ordered mind - which is definitely not me! he he Another lovely masterpiece.

Fabulous nautical card that would be perfect for a male friend/relative, Susie. Don't know why you don't think you do CAS easily...sure looks like it just flowed off your brush. Many of us would give the last joint of our little left pinkie to do what you do so well. : )

Love this fabulous card, Susie, wow!! You have used one of my favourite techniques for the bg and I love how you have torn the top and bottom edges. Your nautical image is coloured so incredibly well - looks like you nail CAS challenges as you do all others!!

Wow, Susie, this is unbelievably amazing ( do those 2 words go together?) Well, you know what I mean... beyond words gorgeous. I don't think there is a style you can't do. The torn edges, fussy cutting, and coloring are fantastic. Love it!

All the smacking and squirting produced an amazing card. You might want to rethink your relationship with CAS as it appears you two were made for each other. Many hugz to you my friend.

Fantastic masculine CAS, Susie! Your "water" bkgrd looks great as a bkgrd for the nautical image. Great coloring. I would say you were in clear communication with CAS when you crafted this beauty.
Oh Susie, now I feel so dumb! LOL I over watered my acrylic block (my first idea for my CAS card this week. I made a mess and totally gave up on that idea. Duh, place the paper on the over watered block!!! This is exquisite!!! I love everything about it! The watery background looks like waves crashing upon the rocks!
