This is for a Featured Stamper Challenge from earlier this month and for the Ways to Use It Challenge to share if you are a Tortoise or a Hare. I am definitely a tortoise and usually one of the last ones to complete a challenge. I'm glad there is no time deadline! Sometimes I'm the hare instead and amaze myself by doing the challenge on the same day or within two days. As long as I'm creating, making cards and having fun; that's what counts most! I loved Laurene's gallery! Her Well Hello Card from Aug 2014 jumped out to me (see below). I loved the flowers in the jar, how she colored them & added color to the background and that she used speckles. For the challenge, I kept what inspired me, but I used my own design since Laurene had done a sketch challenge. I used a different image of flowers in a jar. My image didn't have a bow, so I added a die cut one. I used a different "hello" and stamped it right onto the card base instead of layering it. It's not easy to see in the picture; however I put some glitter on the flowers and jar. I ended up smearing it onto the card base. Handy butterflies landed right on the marks hiding them from view. It took me a long time to finish this card, but slow & steady wins the race! Just like the tortoise. TFL

First, it's always nice to get inspiration from someone, and then we do our own thing with the inspiration. Like the design, and we all relate to why some small die will be placed somewhere to hide those dang smudges. Your butterflies look great with the pretty colors. Thanks so much for playing, and having fun!

You and I have similar timetables I think! I love your pretty spring colours and that lovely vase of daffodils. The little die cut bow is the perfect touch on your flowers. Great card!

Lovely! Your bottle of flowers is a perfect case and I love the cute little butterflies. I'm a day late with the challenge and so I fit the tortoise spot with you. Slow or fast, enjoy your craft;)

I love what you did with your splatters around the vase. ( sometimes when I try things like that I end up with mud) so, its cool to see it done well and framed.
