For Sabrina's VSN challenge to use a map on your card. For me, the hardest part of this card was working up the gumption to cut apart the map book (even tho it's probably 15 years old, and no one has used it since the invention of Mapquest). I did the sentiment in white in the middle of the black band so it's kind of like the center line on the highway....
Fussy cut the VW and popped it up on pop dots.

It IS hard to cut into old maps and books even when they are totally redundant. When my dad moved last year and my sister and I were clearing his house I took a few maps - at least it's easier to use something that wasn't yours in the first place. Great use of your map here, Sandy, and very effective with the black strip and white sentiment to pick up on the idea of a road.

What a cute little card. I like your little red car. The outdated map of the perfect background for your card. I learned to drive on old Dixie Highway. LOL

Sandy, I think this is fabulous. Love the map concept and your sentiment is so special....there's something unique about it. I don't know if it's the font or the color or the what, but it sure makes this card a showstopper.
