I stamped the main image then cut a mask and masked the flower so I could stamp the ferns. Then I added black paper behind the image. The design paper has a faux border which is drawn with a sharpie to look like more black paper behind the dp. I wanted the black border without the thickness and weight of card stock. This is a great sketch for me to use more of my retired designer paper. I'm going to keep this in mind for my sympathy cards for Cleveland Clinic.

Yes this would make a wonderful sympathy card....beautiful yet understated. I like the ferns behind your flower and the narrow black trim does make the layers stand out more. Lovely.

I LOVE ferns. DH planted some Lady Fern, and we really had no idea it would take over the garden!! We love it, but it has to be attended to. I love it with your wonderful flower and the matching dp, Sue.
