This week our teapotter cards are going to Faith - yabbadodo's husband, Harry, who is about to have some back surgery. To see the story, go HERE We are sending him cards to get him through the surgery with our thoughts and prayers and also to cheer him up during his recovery.
Let me tell you why I am so late - do you have ANY idea how long it takes to grow enough grass to make a card with Harry's fishing cabin, out in the woods and surrounded by the lake and all that GRASS! I tell you - I think I just broke the record for how long it takes to make a card!! (BUT I AM SO TICKLED HOW GREAT IT TURNED OUT)
I am not a great photographer by any stretch of the imagination, but this turned out better than I expected! You know how it is - when you have the idea in your head and it doesn't look so good IRL!
I also combined this card with the F4A261 to use a SCS tutorial - I used the SIDE STEP CARD
Just followed Beate's great tutorial -Of course, All SCS tutorials are great -
I used a stencil for the trees in the BG with a little bit of "sunrise" sponging, cut out the DP for the cabin, embossed the roof , and then , MADE GRASS for the next 4 hours!!! JK! After I planted all that grass, I decided to name Harry's cabin, and put up a sign to show him where the lake was too. I love it when a plan comes together like this, but I can't believe I stayed up till 2:30 AM to post it - yes, I love it THAT MUCH, and can't wait to send it off to Harry!
Thanks for looking, and for putting up with me always coming late. I do appreciate your thoughts!

Oh Sue...I was about to check out of the gallery and go to bed when I saw this card pop into the gallery. I LOVE this and so will Harry! This is one amazing side step card (Kudo's for following that tutorial and getting such GREAT results!) I love every inch of it down to the "to the lake" sign you made. GOOD job growing all that grass and creating a card that is a JOY to look at!

Sue, this is just the cutest fishing card! I can see why this is Harry's Heaven. Great job on your sidestep card and growing all the special grass that makes Harry's place beautiful.

Sue, your card is extraordinary...from start to finish. The layout, the coloring and personalization make it truly outstanding! It is evident a lot of love went into creating it.

Holy lawn mower Batman..this is AMAZING!!! That grass was well worth the effort...it's perfect!!! And the cabin and trees look like they're right by one of our 10,000 lakes (I have to go with what I know...MN..known for our many lakes)....and then there's Harry...he's perfectly decked out for a day on water. This is SUPERB....LOVE IT!!
