This week our teapotter cards are going to Faith - yabbadodo's husband, Harry, who is about to have some back surgery. To see the story, go HERE We are sending him cards to get him through the surgery with our thoughts and prayers and also to cheer him up during his recovery.
Let me tell you why I am so late - do you have ANY idea how long it takes to grow enough grass to make a card with Harry's fishing cabin, out in the woods and surrounded by the lake and all that GRASS! I tell you - I think I just broke the record for how long it takes to make a card!! (BUT I AM SO TICKLED HOW GREAT IT TURNED OUT)
I am not a great photographer by any stretch of the imagination, but this turned out better than I expected! You know how it is - when you have the idea in your head and it doesn't look so good IRL!
I also combined this card with the F4A261 to use a SCS tutorial - I used the SIDE STEP CARD
Just followed Beate's great tutorial -Of course, All SCS tutorials are great -
I used a stencil for the trees in the BG with a little bit of "sunrise" sponging, cut out the DP for the cabin, embossed the roof , and then , MADE GRASS for the next 4 hours!!! JK! After I planted all that grass, I decided to name Harry's cabin, and put up a sign to show him where the lake was too. I love it when a plan comes together like this, but I can't believe I stayed up till 2:30 AM to post it - yes, I love it THAT MUCH, and can't wait to send it off to Harry!
Thanks for looking, and for putting up with me always coming late. I do appreciate your thoughts!

Wow! Waiting all that time for the grass to grow was certainly worth it. I have that stamp and I need to try something like this - hope you will not mind. Of course, it would not begin to look as great as this one does.
This is amazing and so creative, I mean you growing all that grass! LOL
I am not getting my notifications either! I thought you weren't making any cards! LOL

This plan REALLY came together, Greenie!! I can see why you are so tickled with it and it will certainly brighten up Harry's recovery and be added to his MAN TREASURES box, I'm quite sure. Every detail is so well put together from the sunrise trees, to the tar shingled roof, to Harry himself all set for the finer pleasures in life, and of course we must make mention of those 4 hours of sod production. That's quite a turf and so it should be because this is quite a card. AWESOME!
