I was inspired by the image on bottom half of the panel. It reminded me of the Bird of Paradise flower. The image is watercolored and once finished I added a touch of splatter.
Thanks for taking a closer look. I appreciate it :-)

Barbie, of all the flowers in the world, bird of paradise are my favorite. I've tried growing them in NC but it's just not the same clime as San Diego which is beautifully displayed on all their streets. If you love BoP as much as I do and have not been to SD, you need to put your creating aside and take yourself/family on out there to socal.

Lovely precise watercoloring....like a botanical print, Barb. Pretty choice for a framing color to accentuate the aqua around your flowers.....being its complementary color. Wonderful card.

Anne is correct here, Barb! I was amazed to see these plants IRL growing all over San Diego, when DH was stationed at 32nd Street Naval Base. They are truly a beautiful plant/flower! I love your coloring...gorgeous Card, perfectly inspired!

Wonderful watercoloring, Barb. This looks like a gorgeous painting to hang on the wall. Your flowers are done so well that I had to run out in my backyard to see them for real. Sure enough, my bird of parsdise plant has numerous big, bright flowers. Funny thing is that I did not notice until I saw your lovely card. Right into my favs.

Your water coloring is envied by many and especially me! Would you move next door to me and be my teacher? Oh right, you like where you are. Oh well. A beautiful interpretation of the challenge piece.
