The current IO Challenge is a birthday one - and since I wanted to make a card with stamped lace for Cathy's WT519 Buttons and Lace challenge, I combined them.
Base card sponged with Peeled Paint, as was the scalloped layer.
I stamped the birthday image on watercolour paper, coloured with distress inks and sponged while still in the die. I added a little Stickles to the butterfly.
I stamped the butterfly on watercolour paper and coloured with distress inks and a Sakura Stardust pen.
I used the narrowest lace I had to make some Stitched Ribbon Flowers and added little buttons in the centre of each.
I stamped the Lace background on kraft with Versamark, embossed with white EP and sponged the edges with Walnut Stain. I added some little sprigs to the flowers, and scattered a few pearls over the card which is not something I normally do, but the romantic lacy look seemed to call for it.
