I have had an urge lately to get back to tatting and since it is close to Valentine's Day a heart seemed to make a lot of sense. This one is needle tatted as opposed to using a shuttle. I also made the envelope and cut the edges using decal edge scissors and fancied up the flap with the lace folder from SU. The edging (Dancing Dolly Lace Border) is from Cheery Lynn and the dot background is from Darice.

This caught my eye and I was about to look closely at the tatted heart to see if it was a real tatted heart or a die-cut. Then I saw your name and knew it was the REAL deal. I used to shuttle tat and need to see if I can remember how. Never tried needle tatting but i've been told it's easier. Gorgeous card, Mrs N.

I have never heard of tatting until now, and my oh my.....is that tatted heart ever Beautiful, Sue! You created such a lovely way to let someone know how much you care about them! A home made item is always special, and now you have a home made item onto a home made card...doesn't get any sweeter (IMHO)!!!!
