I just lost my very detailed description in cyber space...funny that the first words of my description involved me marveling that everything just magically worked on this card. I will be back later to rewrite my description. Right now I have to put this tablet in a safe place before I throw it on the ground and stomp on it - or else my next card will have all sorts of creative bling on it... shattered glass and computer parts.
Well, I am back, and it only took about 15 minutes. I am still aggrivated but not violent. As I said before, this was a card where nothing was planned and it just worked out. I love the theme for this week's MMTPT .. a walk in the woods. This is my second card. I will decide which one to send to a teapotter sister and I need the other one for a thank you. I had this coloring page image that I really wanted to use, however, I was also being inflexible and just had to use watercolors. You can use waterproof ink with stamps, but not when you have to use the printer to get your image onto watercolor paper. I resized the image using the printer and printed the scene onto scrap paper. While looking at the image, I tried to estimate where to paint the watercolors on a blank piece of watercolor paper. Then, I held my breath, rubbed a rabbits foot, and crossed my fingers while running the image through the printer. Oh happy day! It worked. Using a small brush and watercolors with very little water, I fine tuned the painted image. Added highlights with a white gel pen. I wanted to use the SC for this week, so I made a color copy, cut it while leaving a little white border, and popped it up with pop dots. I needed beads for Lisa's WT challenge. I often mention that my coat closet is like Mary Poppons carpet bag. You never know what you will find in there. Sure enough, there were beads and beading wire. I strung the beads and looped the wire around the twine. TFL, Francie

Oh bummer, it's so frustrating when that happens! For a while I start saving all my write-ups before I click submit - but of course I've long lapsed from that before the next time it happens to me.
I'll have to remember to come back and read how you created this - that leafy background I can see is quite amazing, and those bright colours are what I think of as "classic Francie". Great work incorporating the beads, too!

Oh no, say it is not so, yes don't drop the tablet to the ground, you will need that again at some point. Well then I will be back to see the details because the colors on this card are amazing and I always enjoy seeing what you do on your cards. Thank you for joining in my first challenge. Hugs!
Edit: Oh Francie your description WOW! You held your breath and then put on the image OH MY! So stunning. You are so very talented. Some teapotter is sure going to get a real beauty. Thanks again for joining my challenge this week.

Francie, this is gorgeous! Not only do I love your vibrant colors but the fact that watercolor paper fed through the printer when often times it is not flat! What a fabulous card and success story! I can't believe you painted a blank around where the image would lie!

Of course, everything worked out exactly as it was supposed to. Your painting is over the top fabulous. Love the beads too. your mind is amazing if you're able to create a card like this.
