After I colored this image with pencil trying to make the vases look like pottery, but it seemed to fall flat. It sat here a while before I thought of the ornamental pine technique. I did sponge a little antique linen on to add some lighting then covered with versamark and iridescent ice. Hope the tiny yellow blossoms are ok.
Thanks for looking.

This turned out really nice too Nancy!! I like that technique with the versa mark. Your flower vases really look like pottery - that is the first thing I felt when looking at your card. Great job!!

So beautiful, Nancy, using this technique (which I have never heard of!!) - love the sheen and it must look even more beautiful IRL!! Love the way you used pencil to colour the vases, too!!

You have made this Penny Black image over the top BEAUTIFUL! LOVE LOVE LOVE how you colored it. Your ability for shading images is just amazing, you have such an artists eye! This ability is one I so admire because I was standing behind the door when this talent was handed out...The iridescent ice is such an awesome addition to this already incredible creation. sigh.....

This went into my favorites before I even read the description! I have no idea what the ornamental pine technique is, but those vases are amazing! The sparkle from the iridescent ice is gorgeous; an outstanding card all the way around!
