hi there,
With Christmas quickly approaching, I thought it was a good time to make some tags and play along with the tag challenge Loll Thompson is having on her blog. Seeing this fountain pen has just inspired me: http://www.pinterest.com/pin/387591111652042699/
I began by dripping Aleene's Tacky Glue onto my tag and rubbed it around with my finger. When dry, I dragged my tag through Distress inks sprayed with water. It left behind wonderful swirls and some white showing. You could easily mass produce these as there is always some ink left behind on the non-stick craft sheet.
The snowflake from Lawn Fawn was die cut, pressed onto my Versamark pad and covered with silver embossing powder. I did that 3 times to give an enameled look to my snowflake. Finally, I stamped the sentiment and embossed it with clear eb powder.
thanks for looking,

Gorgeous tag, Karen. All icy and silvery with your incredible bg techniques and shimmering silver snowflake. If I had this on a package, I'd forget about opening the gift! : )

How clever to use glue and smear with ink. Almost a Mother of Pearl technique. LOVE your gorgeous blues in your background combined with your pretty silver snowflake and silver accents.
I am thrilled you got to play Karen. I knew you would create a "blue" beauty :-) TFS my friend.
