I've been playing around creating different types of backgrounds today. I just did one using the Magic Snowflake technique with re-inkers and rubbing alcohol and wanted to compare to using alcohol inks on glossy cs. And I wanted to do a card for this week's CAS challenge to use pink and orange.
I chose pink and orange alcohol inks with a bit of yellow for more contrast - dotted them on an applicator and added them to glossy cs. I stamped the leaves and the sentiment with brown archival ink, matted it with brown cs, and layered on a text dp.

Susan this is stunning! Your background is so vibrant. I love the leaves in the corners. The text on the base layer adds so much interest as a backdrop for your incredible color layer!

SO SO lovely, Susan. the bg you created is stunning with the colors that you used....and the veiny leaves on the edges were a perfect way to stamp them.

STUNNING!! Love the colours of your background (orange and pink is my favourite combination!). Love it with the brown stamped fall leaves ... gorgeous sentiment that is perfect for this. Magic snowflake technique is so cool and will be giving it a try!
