This card is for Understandblue's HYCCT1431C challenge. We were challenged to make a card inspired by a book. Star Trek and the stories of D.C. Fontana and Harlan Ellison opened up many worlds for me as a child. This is my nod to those creative authors who took me beyond the stars, beyond Antares. I also credit them for expanding my vocabulary. If this idea tickles your thought processes or you want to send some cards for a cancer patient or her family to use, come join us for the HYCCT challenges and send your card(s) to UT MD Anderson Cancer Center.
You can find the Master Challenge thread with all the HYCCT challenges at Forums at Splitcoaststampers. why not join us for a fun month of challenges for our 5th annual Hope You Can Cling To card drive, with plenty of prizes for those who participate!

I love this. So much. On a million levels.

A fabulous sentiment which is so inspiring, Fran, and your starry sky with bright blue accents is perfect for a tribute to the authors who inspired you - very creative take on the challenge!

Love the starry sky and cool embossed edge that looks rather planetary to me. I enjoy some sci-fi now and then myself (currently reading Orson Scot Card's Xenocide)
