Today Audrie & Nancy sent us to the esty shop Vintage Atmosphere. I had lunch Wed. at Miss Molly's Tea Room in Medina (OH) & when I saw this dinner plate I knew I had to use this unloved rose image. My tea was served in a rose teapot with matching cup & saucer. It was a no brainer!!
My DSP also fills Wendy's Friday F4A to use stripes & I fullfilled some Dirty challenges too.
I used Festive Berries, Peeled Paint & Gathering Twigs distress markers on an acrylic block & watercolored. I need someone to teach me how to shade a rose, but I think this does look ok. I added a bit of wink of Stella & a drop of glossy accents on the rose petals. This was my third try at coloring this flower today & I almost gave up!
Thanks for stopping by.

Oh Karen, your flower is beautiful and I think the shading looks good! Lovely card and love the colors and gold. Wish I could have been with you in the tea room - wouldn't that be lovely! Wonderfully done. Hugz!

Beautiful card...and covering all those challenges too, Karen. Your rose is colored so softly and beautifully....like you saw on your visit to the tea shop today. The stripe DP ties it all together.
(I've been to a tea shop in Medina, but I don't remember if it was that one. There are so many interesting shops and places to eat there. Love their old-fashioned "downtown".)

Just beautiful! So glad you were able to combine so many challenges, and that one of them was mine! Tea rooms are so cozy and inviting... makes me want to make a cup of tea right now! Actually... I think I will. Thank you so much for playing along with my challenge and for being a member of our Fan Club!

Ditto above on what you did with the rose and muted bg paper - and congrats on marrying the challenges seamlessly
