Karen gave us a color palette of bright summer colors:
Cherry Cobbler
Daffodil Delight
Wild Wasabi
Pool Party
AND for dessert, THE FOCAL POINT OF YOUR CARD SHOULD BE SOMETHING OTHER THAN FLOWERS! So you can HAVE flowers on your CARD, but the FOCAL POINT should be SOMETHING ELSE, and NOT THE SENTIMENT!! (I'm quoting her here.)
Since flowers would have been a natural, I immediately thought of the next most colorful things in nature and thought "BIRDS"...and realized the male ruby-throated hummingbird has all these colors on his body. The yellow is stippled for his feathers on his side where the colors meet for his belly.
I usually like to do the CC lickety-split before I go to bed on Monday nights, but being in the middle of DTGD week, I thought I would wait to see what challenges today brought. It was worth the wait, there were several that I could incorporate into my card.

Oh my, this is BEAUTIFUL! The coloring is spectacular and the little die-cut sentiment is perfect! Thanks for getting Dirty with us this week (however, I'm baffled as to why you're not Dirty already!)
Sallie, this is stunning. The colorful bird scene pops right off the screen and is so perfect with the gray in the background. What a gorgeous, gorgeous image and what perfectly beautiful coloring. I would love to know what color ink you used to stamp the image. Was is water based ink? Because it looks like there are nore real lines at all. Just like a perfect painting. Sigh!

OMGolly Molly, err, I mean Sallie!! This is just stunning!! Your choice of the grey embossed and striped background was perfect for this image. It appears you used a light grey ink to stamp your image as well - if so, another good choice for no line stamping and watercoloring. Beautiful 3D effect with the addition of the flowers.

Oh, Sallie, this is just so pretty. I love to watch hummingbirds. Your coloring and sponging is beautiful as usual, and against the soft gray BG- it is stunning!
