I started by making my wooden chandelier all shabby and chic-I first painted with white milk paint. I added my distress ep while the paint was wet and embossed. I rubbed off some of the embossing then used my finger to rub some gold acrylic paint accents. I added Liquid Pearls to the smallest part of the design and then gems. I set this aside and started my card. I embossed the skyline in gold ep and added gold mesh below. I laid my doily down and added the 55 in brushed gold then accented with my chandelier and the gold bow. I stamped my sentiment in gold. This will go to my parents who are celebrating their 55th anniversary this year. They've lived in the Chicago area almost all of their married lives and in the city itself the last 11.
Close up of the chandelier on my blog post.

Ohhh, so beautiful, Gail, and I love all the little symbolic touches and that city skyline! My parents will celebrate their 50th next year - not sure what that's going to look like!
