I got the dove dies in the mail on Thursday and knew immediately that I wanted to use them for this technique. I had a small mishap with the larger bird, but he's so gorgeous I had to use him anyway. He is attached with foam tape; the smaller dove is adhered directly to the sentiment panel.
The only thing I did differently was to use very wrinkled foil as my starting point, and applied three coats of UTEE.
The sentiment layer is adhered with foam tape; the layer behind it was embossed twice - first with the Acanthus ef and then with the stripe. I ran it back through the Big Shot without a folder to flatten a bit and soften the look. The card base is also embossed with the Acanthus ef and flattened in the same manner.
Absolutely love how this turned out! As always, thanks for looking!

Jody, this is beautiful! I love the crinkled foil technique combined with the enamel technique! What a gorgeous pair of doves. I love reading your descriptions. I would never have thought to use two embossing folders creating such a unique look on your background! Outstanding card!

I'm just looking at this on my phone at the moment, but once I get up and have the laptop on I am most surely coming back for a better look because it looks quite amazing. With those beautiful dies you seem to have combined the enamelling with filigree for a double jewellery feel. And the colours are just gorgeous! I bet the crinkling looks fantastic. When I did the two stamped feathers on foil for my tutorial photos, I put it through the Big Shot and it got a wonderful, unplanned, crazed effect from all the marks on the cutting plate. But by the time I realised that I liked that and wanted to reproduce it, I had actually thrown that plate out, sigh...
