I made this card for a friend and business associate who lost her mother this week.
I stamped the flower on black cs with Unicorn, and added a little definition with a white Prismacolor pencil. I painted the flower center with Shimmer Spritz and the lightly sprayed the entire focal.
The sentiment is computer generated and heat embossed - I hadn't ever tried that before but on this heavy metallic paper the printer ink stayed wet a little longer than normal, so it worked great. Speaking of paper, the card base and sentiment panel are cut from some absolutely gorgeous paper - its a gorgeous metallic platinum color. I wish you could see it!
Both the focal and sentiment are attached with foam tape for dimension.
As always, thanks for looking!

Whoa! You embossed printer ink? Thanks for that idea! This card is fabulous. I love the white artwork on black cardstock! You have some of the neatest ideas!

Oh what a beautiful sympathy card! The painted flower is gorgeous. I never thought to emboss the printer ink. I know the black stays wet a very long time when used on papers that aren't very absorbent - terrific idea!
