This is for today's super-fun and easy WTUI challenge from Michelle ~ Colour Something
I didn't exactly go where I planned with it, but I like the end result.
Base is just white card embossed with the Brick Wall ef inked with Tea Dye.
For the image layer, I stamped Canvas in Smokey Grey and then added a couple of coats of gesso to tone it down. Stamped the image and coloured it with Gelatos mixed with water. I stamped an extra butterfly and swiped Gelatos over it, cut it out, coloured the body with a glaze pen, added Stickles and stuck it to the base.
I cut the leaf from some of the gesso-ed paper, crumpled it, misted it with water and coloured it with the gelatos. It's partially popped up on foam.
To keep with the organic look I used a bit of cork to cut my button die, and finished it off with natural twine.

Beautiful glimpse of far off summer days! We just got 8"of snow and I really needed to see something like this! :-) Love the slightly muted colours of your image and that embossed brick wall is superb. TFS

Lovely card, Sabrina! Your collage stamp is so nicely colored. I have a few Gelatos but haven't mastered effectively using them as yet. Seeing your card has given me inspiration to keep trying

Sabrina, your card makes me think of spring with its theme. Love the brick bg...you have more elegant garden walls in Ireland than most of us do here in my neighborhood. ; ) The texture it gives to your card is marvelous...and the canvas and the cork carry that texture forward too. Gorgeous card!!
