I'm taking an online stencilling class and this is for the first lesson - sponging with ink on a stencil. I pretty much CASEd instructor Debbie's card, though changed the stencil, colours, and theme, and used a dark ink for my sentiment.
I laid my fading dots stencil on white cs and started sponging in the top right corner with Weathered Wood and let it get progressively lighter as I went down the stencil. Then added some Faded Jeans only over the top part. I stamped some blue lines on the vellum where the sentiment was to go, with the sentiment stamped in black over the lines. Cut the vellum into a tag, added twine to the top and popped it up over the stencilled section. Then finished it off by embellishing with some punched stars. A perfect card for a teenage boy whose birthday is coming up!

Oh Wow Susan! I am taking that class too but finished other projects before playing! I love your take on that class and love the way you stamped the vellum!
