To-day is the day we honour all veterans. My Dad was just 17 when he joined the RAF (Royal Air Force) and headed to England. I can't imagine the years he spent over there and often wondered what kind of a person he would have been without that experience in his life.
The Poppy is not a stamp. I drew it from life and coloured it with prisma pencils on watercolour paper. A hole is torn in the card stock to make the frame and the sentiment is heat embossed in white.

Here you go again...making a card I will never forget! I can't express how this touched me today. First your drawing and coloring of the poppy is totally amazing! You showcased it perfectly with your matting. The meaning of this card will move many. It was a card made straight from the heart. Into my favs. Thanks so much for sharing this incredible card.

How lovely and what a wonderful way to honor all our service men and women! Your poppy is amazing..fabulous drawing! Your dad was so young...it's hard to imagine such young people in those serious and difficult circumstances.
