Today is Patty's challenge and it's so creative! She picked the colors of October: Pink, Yellow, Green and Opal. I stamped the Hydrangea from Best of Flowers in Memento London Fog and colored it with my TouchTwin markers. Then I masked it off, and sponged Daffodil Delight ink through drywall tape in what I hope looks like a sun ray.
I finished the flower centers with a little glitter.
Last night at dinner, we were talking about the places we've lived that only have two months of sunny days each year. I've done my time in that. Now I'm very happy to live in a place where you can count the grey days on both hands. I'm just not happy if the sun isn't shining.
The greeting is from Oh, Hello, and the DSP is retired.

Your card is pretty and soft!! I love the hydrangea and your ray of sunshine. I can't imagine living in one of the sunny states. I just talked to someone in AZ and they said they have over 300 sunny days a year. We REALLY appreciate the sunshine here in IL.

Shut up, that is not drywall tape! This is fabulous!

Wow!!! I am a big fan of drywall tape patterns and your creation is amazing!!! I love that you angled your pattern to give a sense of a ray of sun. Fabulous! Going in my favorites.

So VERY pretty Lydia! Your hydrangea is gorgeous! I love your coloring and I agree, the way you have the yellow cutting across your card does look like sunlight streaming down! Beautiful card!!!
