I think I misinterpreted Lori's challenge for HYCCT1301B. We were supposed to create a card that shares courage and strength with either the color red or orange or a mixture of both. My brain stopped at the word red. So while this card may not particularly denote courage, I hope it may bring a feeling of celebration to someone who may be struggling.
Please excuse the picture - my camera did NOT like this card!
Because the white CS is heavily textured, it was hard to get a good image, so I stamped double stamped the flowers. I really have no idea what I was thinking with that paper, but when I colored the flower it had such a neat effect that it's okay. I added LOTS of Glossy Accents to the red flower and stuck a great big bling in the center. The black layer was edged with a MS punch and attached directly to the base. The sentiment was cut in black and again in white and layered on to the base to create a shadow effect.
This card started out 5 x7, but it just didn't look right. I'm thinking of making a magnetic bookmark with the other piece.
As always, thanks for looking!

I really like this card, especially the way you singled out one flower and added color. I also like the simple sentiment. Wonderful card.

I think you did a great job, too! Red or orange was the challenge just because those are the colors of strength and courage! Your card is perfect! So happy you are participating in Hope You Can Cling To with us! Thank YOU!!
