This is my card for Sabrina's challenge to use beads today. I started this card yesterday and was just sort of fooling around, and when I saw the challenge, I decided to add a bead or beads to it somewhere. I looked EVERYWHERE in this house for beads, including the basement. No beads. Well....actually there ARE beads. I KNOW they're here somewhere, but I couldn't find them.
So....what I did find was this barret thingy with a pearl on it....it's sort of like a bead?
EDIT: I was in a hurry when I uploaded this card. I'm back now with some deets.
Bottom panel is embossed with a CB ef and the edges are distressed using a distressing tool. The next panel, also distressed, is shaded and stamped with Adirondack Latte. The flourish is Hero Arts, to which I added some little blue dots. The little flower panel is an SU stamp. The flower is MS stamp and punch.
TFL!

A beautiful vintage card! I really like the delicate background panel which pairs perfectly with the embossed base - and of course I'm a sucker for French . I'm glad you found something to use as a bead - it makes a lovely accent combined with the lace. And goodness, it may not be beads in my case, but I most certainly know the feeling of being sure you have something and hunting high and hunting low without success.

I love your collage of flowers, butterflies and a bird, Jo! Your sponging really creates a softness, and I love the distressing! I never would have thought to use that ef though! So lovely~

You did a wonderful job fooling around with this card. The collage is beautiful....using those two earthy colors together make it a clean neat collage. It definitely needed the extra pearl bead. The gallery is filling up with some outstanding creations by people who had to do some searching for those darn beads! Love it! Faved. tfs

Oh, your story is too funny!! Beads, beads and more beads. I like to cheat and have it work out. Your card is full of awesome images and details. You do collage so well and I love "blue" cards. Glad you could get this challenge done. We'll do whatever it takes sometimes, won't we?

Now, of course, you'll find those beads, and they will go back to oblivion! Isn't that how these things work?? The barrette thingy works for me, and your Vintage card is just gorgeous in the browns and blue.
