Schmetterling is German for butterfly..I've always liked the word. This is my first attempt at an art journal page..I tried a lot of different things and used a bunch of art supplies. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and well, the thing is, with an art journal you can pretty much do whatever you want!

So cool Pol! I love that you decided to keep a journal of your original work!!! This one is so interesting! Fisrt of all, love the name! I did not know that word and it sure does have a "ring" to it! Next, love the colors!!! Something about pinks, greens and orangy colors looks so pretty! Lastly, this could not be a Poloriginal without your amazing stamps! Your collage of lovely, fascinating and how did she do that?!!! Love your photo image stamp and how you made her into a butterfly, or rather schmetterling! Awesome Pol!!!
ps are those words on the hand?

Nice journal page! Like the colors and all those stamps, creating a wonderful bkgrd for your old photograph image. She looks perfect w/the darker-tone wings, mixed w/your other colors. To me, art is an expression of self. If you are a professional artist, governed, restricted and directed by the "rules" .... such as thirds, or visual triangles, or threes, etc ... go for it. In my world, the only rule is 'whatever works for me.' Heehee! LOVE your designs and your free spirit and I hope the "rules" will never cause you to waiver from it! Huggles.
I did not know that was the German word for butterfly. My mom is German but other than "Ich Liebe dich" she didn't teach us any German. :( I love your page! It has such a fun, light feeling to it!
