Ingrid Blackburn's Wetlands OLC was my inspiration for this CAS birthday card. I sponged my background, rather than using acrylic block technique and my card is layered.
I die cut a rectangle using my Nestabilities, leaving it in my die until I had sponged my background. The sand was sponged using Creamy Caramel. The water was sponged using Pool Party. I then punched a 3/4" circle from a cardstock scrap and used the negative to sponge my sun. Finally I used Soft Sky, Cantaloupe (Memento) and Angel Pink (Memento) for my sky.
I used a texture stamp from Alias Smith & Rowe on both the sand and the water. Then I stamped my PSX sandpipers in Early Espresso.
I used my new favorite BG Stamp (Indian Wheel) from Penny Black on the card base and mounted the matted focal image. I finished off with an MFT sentiment, inked in Early Espresso.
