For Featured Stamper Challenge 333 and Mix-Ability Challenge 21...
Congratulations to Tina for being our chosen FS this week!! What a huge gallery of fun! I chose this cute birthday card to case. I kept her theme and layout, but didn't use any stamps and changed the media used to make the background, banner, and sentiment. Enjoy your week, Tina!
I used the Mix-Ability 21: Brilliant Pastels Challenge for my background. SO FUN. I have always been scared of Mixed Media but I had so much fun with this, thanks to Ky's amazing video and to Dina's encouragement (xo!). I am hooked.
I used Distress Stains with the direct to paper technique Ky showed, and then painted with an Acrylic Paint wash. This is two layers. I then stamped randomly with bubble wrap using White Craft Ink and Silver Pigment Ink, and embossed those sections with Clear EP. I used a jute ribbon scrap for some texture inbetween my panels (on the right).
Love how this turned out -- but loved the process even more
Thanks for taking a peek!

------------------------------ We as people are raindrops of colorful ink , falling down Crisp and Clear, each a different shade more vibrant then the last, but once we realize at the bottom of an endless abyss we all fall into the same inkpot forming one color, only then can we come together as one My son.

Wow! This is fantastic! Love the white and silver that you used to stamp the bubble wrap and really love that you took it a step further and heat embossed it. Love it all!
