I got this idea from my first SS - Dorothy Erdely. It uses regular envelopes with the flaps cut off. Each envelope is attached to the one in front of it with a small piece of double stick tape to give it that accordian look. We made these at my stamp camp and some of the ladies will be using theirs for card organizers and picture organizers. There are 12 pockets so you can use one for each month of the year.

This is cool. I have seen something similar on DIY scrapbooking show a while ago. This reminds me to try it. Thanks! Also, where can we purchase envelopes that are acid free if we are going to be placing our photo's in them.
I do have the Krylon spray that removes acid but it smells like fish. ewww

What a clever idea! Do you mind a couple of questions about how it was put together? Did you just use a small piece of tape between the envelopes, and then use a card stock "cover"? Or were the envelopes attached right to the cover? Very very cute idea. Could be used for organizing so many different things. I'm thinking about trying to do something with larger envelopes for organizing bills and receipts. Thanks so much for sharing!! Love it!

Okay - follow up questions....which envies are you using - 5x7? This is phenom!
I used envelopes that were about 5 1/2 x 8 and I cut the short side down to 4 1/2 inches. It really doesn't matter which size you use as they are smaller than your paper. You can always cut your paper cover down to the size of your envelope.
I used a full sheet of paper as the cover and scored it 4" and 6" for the binding. Each envelope is attached to the one in front of it using a small piece of double stick tape just below the open v. I attached one envelope to the front cover face side down (so it doesn't fan open). The next envelope is taped onto this and so on.
As far as being acid free, these envelopes aren't. I only plan on organizing my photos for a short time until I get them scrapped. Maybe Archiver's would have acid free envelopes. I know they did at one time.
Hope this helps! If not, ask again and I'll try to be more descriptive.
