I made this box for my dear friend Robbin whose husband restores old Gumball machines. Robbin gave me the Cricut Lite Sweet Shop cartridge for my birthday, so I made this box for her based on a gumball image from this cartridge. I took an 8.5" x 11" piece of cardstock, determined where the middle was #the paper is lying lengthwise across the top of my score board#, and measured out .75" on either side of the middle pencil mark and scored at 4.75" and 6.25". Then I turned the paper and scored it on the long sides at 1.5" and 7". Turn the paper again, and snip the 4.75" and 6.25" score lines up to the intersecting score lines. FIf desired, apply designer paper to all sides to decorate your box. Assemble the box using score tape. For the lid, cut a piece of cs 7.5" x 3.5". Score at the 1" mark on all 4 sides. If desired, apply designer paper to all sides of the box lid. Snip up to score lines on each end of box lid #there will be 2 snips on each short side#. Assemble box lid with score tape or red line tape. If desired, cut a piece of 1" x 5.5" contrasting cs and punch it with border punch of your choice. Then tape this punched strip inside of the front box lid cover. The gumball machine is applied to panels that were cut from the same Cricut Sweet Shop cartridge.
