SmileyJ, here at SCS, has an Aunt who will be 102 in a few days time. Rose loves violets, I can't make violets, but I did the next best thing, I hand made the flowers with violet colored paper.
I did a template (actually I did about 42,000 before I was happy), from there I traced around my template and made lots of flowers. I used a paper piercer to add veins, and inked the center and edges to give an aged effect.
I cut the hamer tone card stock at an angle and scored it to be a three panel card. I got the idea from a forum here a couple of weeks ago.

Such a lovely card of violets! I just made a trifold w/ this same angled top a couple of weeks ago. Don't you love how it looks when folded and opened?
