Fun challenge today! I love fussy cutting! Maybe I'm weird, but I actually like to fussy cut and I do it quite a bit. Contrary to what y'all might think, I'm actually pretty fast at it, too. I have these little curved blade detail scissors and they make all little fussy cutting details easy and quick.
I only did a bit of fussy cutting on this...the two smallest snowflakes. The bigger two have matching dies. Everything is embossed on this, and the aqua parts were done w/ 3 colors of embossing powders.
I turned the bookmark (the fancy frame around the sentiment) into a frame by stamping one end, then turning the image and stamping the same end again on the other half. After stamping, I embossed w/ 3 different embossing powders by sprinkling on color down the middle, tapping it off, then doing the same on either side w/ the other 2 colors.  For the teal layer, I die cut the large bookmark to the half way point, turned the die and cut the other half to match. The white background was stamped w/ the individual snowflakes and embossed the same way. On the aqua strip, I stamped and embossed the snowflake background w/ white ink and powder. the finished card is 5.50 x 4.25.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Oh, how simply gorgeous! I'm with you, I quite enjoy fussy cutting - but I'm not sure I've ever tried even a small snowflake!! This is perfect for capturing the feel of a cold crisp morning.

Julie, GORGEOUS....as ever. The aqua/turq and white seem a natural to me with snowflakes...so right there I love your card. Your intricate cutting is SO beautifully done. Lovely layout too.
