Today's WT to use a bird on our cards. My state bird is the cardinal, and I just admire watching these birds! There is a huge holly bush next door, and every winter a male cardinal roosts inside. It's so fun to see him against the snow and pretty red berries on the bush. I stamped him in black and sponged on some red and tangerine and added an eye with a gel pen. He's popped up. I sponged the white cs with bashful blue & around the edges with red, stamped leaves in olive, added the sentiment & sponged the edges, 3 black pearls were added and black matting. I colored the bird mimicing Michelle Zindorf's as seen here: Leaves of a Different Color - MZ by Zindorf at Splitcoaststampers As always, thanks for stopping by today! ~Roberta

Love how you colored the bird, Roberta...really adds wonderful dimension! You are so lucky to have cardinals around...love them...such beautiful birds!
Your bird is pretty. I just love that bird and use him quite a bit myself. I like the dotted paper and how you backed everything in black to pull it together. A lovely card.

Roberta, a lovely Christmas card with your sweet little cardinal. Love the polka dot DP. Even with its many layers, your card has the clean and crisp look of a CAS.
