As soon as I saw the TLC for yesterday I knew I wanted to do it in conjunction with the Inspiration Challenge (IC11). This background is a combo of blues and greens. Then I went over the top with a separate layer of silver. The hardest part of these melted crayon backgrounds for me is finding "standard" colors to use with my new custom blended backgrounds!
The background on this card is inked with VersaMark on the script stamp, then rubbed in streaks with chalks. Then the word "dragonfly" was stamped over in a rock & roll combination of Forest Foliage and Taken With Teal. Finally it is all lightly misted with a combo of hairspray and silver Pearl Ex.
The frame is matte silver paper from a gift bag that has been lightly sponged with brown and black ink (in a rather feeble attempt to get it to match the aged pewter of the hardware).
The ribbon was something I just came across when cleaning up my craft room. It was left over from a project I did about 11 years ago! I almost tossed it.

Love the dragonfly background you created to match this lovely design. I finally gave up on the melted crayon. All of mine looked less than appealing. Glad to see someone could pull it off beautifully!!
