I couldn't wait to make my own plaid paper, using the new Papertrey set, BG Basics:Super Stripes. I'm a sucker for plaids and now I can make them in any color I want--consider me HAPPY! I used today's colors, cherry cobbler and old olive, stamped on PTI's vintage cream. I diecut the largest oval, then the word and placed the plaid panel on the cherry cobbler card base, to figure where to cut the smaller oval for the window. I attached a piece of clear cardstock between the panels and then placed the diecut word on the clear piece, so that it lined up with the plaid pattern. I attached another cream panel on the inside of the card and stamped the rest of the sentiment. I used the diecut oval to make a matching tag. PTI's Make it Monday challenge this week is to make the floating image window card.

This is just amazing! I thought it was plaid paper, not home made. Wow this is an amazing card!

I'm so impressed that you made that plaid bg..it's gorgeous! And this card is so much fun with that clear layer which makes the "merry" look like it's floating..how cool!
